A Document Verification Service (DVS) identity service provider is a private organisation, doing business in Australia or New Zealand, that does identity proofing on behalf of another organisation.
Identity service providers have an indirect connection to the Document Verification Service which means they connect through a gateway service provider.
Identity service providers cannot pass personal data matched through the Document Verification Service on to their client organisations.

To become an identity service provider you must:
Choose a gateway service provider and enter into an agreement with them.
We cannot recommend a gateway service provider to you but you can contact the DVS Manager for help to better understand the process.
Your gateway service provider will let us know when you enter into an agreement.
You should have a formal application decision in 1 to 2 weeks.
Your gateway service provider will inform us that you are applying as an identity service provider. After we review your application, your gateway service provider will set up your connection.
